23-ton component was placed with a mobile crane

Last Thursday, an impressive 23-ton manhole base for rainwater was successfully lowered into the excavation pit! At 12:30 pm, the shaft was safely installed in its intended location.

The manhole replaces the previous, defective lower section, which had caused the asphalt to sink. The pipes connected to the shaft have impressive diameters of 300 mm, 500 mm and 800 mm and ensure that rainwater is reliably transported away into the northern rainwater retention basin.

New manhole base has been installed.

On Wednesday, the massive component arrived on a low-loader and on Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m., work began on setting up the mobile crane. Thanks to precise planning and teamwork, the installation went smoothly. A big step forward for our construction site and the local infrastructure!
