The Council forms committees in which the majority of political decisions are discussed in advance. In some matters, the committees can also make final decisions.
The Main and Finance Committee of the Council of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer performs the tasks assigned to it in accordance with the municipal code. It is responsible for coordinating the work of all committees, advising on all matters that are subject to a decision by the Council and is responsible for dealing with suggestions and concerns within the meaning of Section 24 of the municipal code.
The meetings of the Main and Finance Committee take place in the Council Chamber in the Town Hall on Peter-Plümpe-Platz and are open to the public with a few exceptions. Members of the public are welcome to attend!
