The district of Kleve is looking for new foster families who are willing to take on the task of giving a child or young person a new home. Families who can imagine taking in a child or young person temporarily or permanently can contact the Kleve district's "Youth and Family" department if they are interested. In addition, the foster care service invites all interested parties to a non-binding information evening on the subject of "becoming a foster carer".
On this evening, those responsible would like to give all interested parties the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the tasks, challenges and opportunities of foster parenthood and to clarify any unanswered questions. The information evening will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the "Mispelzimmer" (Room 2.474 - 2nd floor) of the Kleve Kreishaus, Nassauerallee 15-23. Participants will enter the Kreishaus through the former main entrance next to Prinz-Moritz-Park. From there they will be guided to the "Mispelzimmer".
Topics of the evening are:
- Presentation of the foster care system: overview of the legal framework for foster parenting and the process of fostering a child
- Examination procedure and requirements: Who can become a foster family?
- Exchange and questions: Open round to clarify possible concerns and questions.
- Support services: Information on support measures and counseling services for foster parents.
Anyone who would like to attend the information evening can register by e-mail at pflegefamilien@kreis-kleve.de by November 20, 2024. Participation is free of charge.
