The Council forms committees in which the majority of political decisions are discussed in advance. In some matters, the committees can also make final decisions.
The Committee for Urban Development and Economic Development of the Council of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer deals with the areas of development, urban development and traffic planning as well as matters relating to urban economic development. The committee is responsible, for example, for the preliminary discussion of measures and plans on which the council of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer has to make the final decision.
The meetings of the Committee for Urban Development and Economic Development take place in the Council Chamber in the Town Hall on Peter-Plümpe-Platz and are open to the public with a few exceptions. Members of the public are welcome to attend!
