"World Clean Up Day" on 20.09.

The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer would like to support planned waste collection campaigns by citizens of Kevelaer and therefore offers to collect and dispose of the collected waste at collection points. Anyone planning a clean-up campaign in Kevelaer or the villages on "World Clean Up Day" can register it at www.worldcleanupday.de.

Anyone who needs help selecting collection areas can contact the Kevelaer city administration by e-mail at umweltschutz@kevelaer.de by 18.09.24 in order to jointly determine waste collection points.

World Clean Up Day

Since 2018, World Clean Up Day has mobilized millions of people in over 190 countries to work together to free streets, parks, beaches, forests, rivers and oceans from carelessly discarded waste.

Last year, 19 million people worldwide took part in "World Clean Up Day" and sent a strong signal for a clean, healthy and waste-free environment through their clean-up campaigns. The website www.worldcleanupday.de offers local authorities, schools, companies, associations, initiatives and private individuals the opportunity to register their clean-ups and receive information on how to carry them out safely. The "World Cleanup Day" is initiated by the global citizens' organization "Let's Do It World".
