Three-week respite started successfully

On July 29, 2024, the breathing space kicked off in glorious sunshine under the motto "Moving together". Visitors of all ages were drawn to the St. Jakob brine garden to get active in the fresh air.

The courses are very popular

The three-week respite is organized annually by Kevelaer Marketing and appeals to a broad target group with a wide range of exercise and health activities. The courses were already well attended in the first week and the weather also played along. Thanks to the support of many sponsors, participants can look forward to a free course program until 16 August 2024.

Secure course dates now

Please note that participation in some courses is limited and prior registration is required. In addition, some courses, such as the bike tour along the Kneipp route, do not take place in the St. Jakob brine garden, but at another location. All course dates and information can be found in the program flyer. This can be viewed online at www.kevelaer-marketing.de together with detailed course descriptions. The flyer is available free of charge at the Tourist Information in the town hall and in the information building at Solegarten St. Jakob.

New for the first time: a colorful children's program

This year, for the first time, a special program is being offered for children aged 4 and over. Courses such as self-defense and Kneipp therapy were already well attended in the first week and are generating enthusiasm among the children. This year, for the first time, there will be the opportunity for all generations to take part in the courses.

Catering is provided

Throughout the event, refreshments in the form of fresh fruit and drinks were provided by Edeka Brüggemeier. With the high temperatures in the first week of the respite, the refreshment provided by the cool drinks came in very handy and the fresh fruit offered a welcome and healthy boost. Anyone wishing to quench their thirst is also invited to fill up their bottle at the drinking fountain next to the Kneipp facility.

WhatsApp channel for up-to-date information

As the courses take place outdoors and the weather conditions can change at short notice, we recommend subscribing to the new Kevelaer Marketing WhatsApp channel. All the latest information and last-minute course cancellations are shared there. There are also tips for the summer, a weekly overview of events and much more.

Open-air cinema at the end

On August 16, 2024, there will be a closing evening with free open-air cinema to round off the respite. From 9 p.m., Kevelaer Marketing and Volksbank an der Niers will present the German comedy "Eingeschlossene Gesellschaft" on the big screen in the open air. Viewers are welcome to bring picnic blankets and garden chairs as well as their own food. In addition, the "Basilika Stuebchen" will be offering fresh popcorn, hearty snacks and cool drinks from 8 pm.

The entire Atempause course program can be viewed online at www.kevelaer-marketing.de. Program flyers with the complete course program are also available at the Tourist Information in the town hall and in the information building at the Solegarten St. Jakob.
