An alarm was triggered at the Kevelaer outdoor pool on Monday morning, whereupon the pool was evacuated and the police and fire department arrived. A small amount of chlorine gas was detected in the technical room of the outdoor pool. The alarm in the technical room is activated automatically if the chlorine concentration is too high. A leaking valve had triggered the alarm. A specialist company replaced the valve immediately and also checked all the other valves and the technology. In the afternoon, at 3:30 pm, bathers were able to return to the outdoor pool. So nothing stands in the way of an evening swim on Thursday!
